Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the use of very thin needles, inserted into specific points over the body in order to treat a variety of health complaints. Only sterile, disposable needles are used.

This therapy can be very useful in treating pain including knee pain, back pain, osteoarthritis related pain, headaches and acute or chronic injuries whether they are related to accidents, sports or overuse. Other complaints that may benefit from acupuncture treatment include circulatory problems, neuralgia (nerve pain), muscle tension, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, menstrual complaints and general stress-associated health concerns.

Initial acupuncture sessions generally last about 45 to 60 minutes. During this time you will be assessed and the appropriate acupuncture points selected for you. Follow up acupuncture treatments will last approximately 30 minutes.
